PHE trade union leader suspended for his FB post on Domicile Law | KNO

Rajouri, April 05 (KNO): A trade union leader of Public Health Engineering (Jal Shakti) department in Rajouri have been placed under suspension for his remarks on his Facebook account on new Domicile Law in Jammu and Kashmir. The suspension order have been issued by the Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering department in Rajouri. As per wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in the order, it has been mentioned that an Assistant Lineman of the department in PHD division Rajouri, namely Tahir Ahmed Shawl, a regular government employee had uploaded an “objectionable post on his social media account.” The post read: "Is Domicile Rule April fool gift for Altaf Bukhari and his teammates?" Shawl, according to officials, has violated several orders issued in the past the government which is in violation of Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Conduct Rules 1971, the order reads. “Pending inquiry into his conduct, Shawl,is hereby placed under suspension for his misconduct in use of social media,” the order reads. "The official shall remain attached in the office of Executive Engineer PHE division Rajouri. "The officials said that Shawl is a native of Thanamandi and is a trade union leader of PHE employees in Rajouri and often leads protests and rallies in Rajouri to highlight employees issues and demands—(KNO)
